With a degree and background in accounting, I run my agency with the attention to detail that clients appreciate and have come to expect. My passion for travel and experiencing different destinations brought me to this career after raising my three children. I was looking for a business that matched my interests and strengths, and planning a vacation, or an organized group trip, by arranging all the required items fit well with my organized, detail oriented way of life.
I started Booked By Barthel in 2007, after interning at a local store front agency for two years. Everyone deserves and needs a vacation, a chance to unwind. However, with our “small global world”, the choices are endless and trying to find your perfect vacation isn’t always easy. That’s where a professional travel consultant can help to truly make your vacation stress free. I work closely with each client, listening to their needs and desires and making recommendations based on my own experience and education. I also have contact with other professionals, both consultants and suppliers, which I can draw from when additional information is necessary.
I am committed to the best customer service I can provide and strive to meet my clients’ requests. I continue to educate myself within the industry and have achieved the certification of Accredited Cruise Counselor and Luxury Cruise Specialist from CLIA (Cruise Lines International Assoc.) and the designation of Destination Specialist for the Caribbean from the Travel Institute.
My goal is to help any individual or group have a travel experience that meets or exceeds their expectations by providing professional and caring service. I help each client sort through the multitude of information and options to help create lasting memories, one vacation at a time.
